For once, this is a blog series that it’s ok if you missed the first part. In the first segment, I covered running your own home game poker tournament and how to do it successfully. Honestly, there is probably a lot of crossover between running a tournament and a cash game, so maybe I’ll retract my first statement and recommend you read Part One first. I promise you it’s a good read🙂
What I’d like to cover today is running your own home poker game, specifically a cash game. Just to make sure that we are all on the same page, a cash game is a poker game where people buy-in fora certain amount of money and are able to cash out and leave at any point in time. The opposite of this would be a tournament where there is an entry fee, and players play until someone has allof the chips. I know you probably already knew this, but you can never be too careful on the internet these days. I have had several people think that a cash game referred to any poker thatinvolves real money regardless of structure.

I highly recommend doing some research and making sure that what you’re doing isn’t going to end with you in handcuffs. This is ESPECIALLY true if you are going to be running a game forprofit which I will get into in a minute.
